This listing is for one wheel-thrown decorative bowl. This is a mid fire pottery so it is also food safe. This painting technique is a lot of fun to make, you never know how the end result will blend in the final kiln firing. This particular piece is deep red on the outside and the inside has bright specks of rustic browns, bright blues and purples and colors that jump out at you. This is one of my favorite combinations and when I successfully get this color to work it is one of my best sellers when people see it live at my pottery shows.
The bowl is hand thrown on a potters wheel and put through a bisque firing. I then hand paint and finally finish with a cone 6 firing. These pieces are great conversation pieces as a food bowl or decoratively throughout the house.
Made with love, in Camano Island Washington, using the pottery wheel.
Measures approx: 4.5”Tall and 6.5” wide
I do my best to reflect my ceramics in the pictures as real as possible, but some color variations and sizes should be taken into account.
