This listing is for one wheel-thrown whale tail bowl. The color is a greenish blue with crystals, it kind of reminds me of the pudget sound water. This is a high fire pottery piece so it is also food safe. This is a small bowl with a whale tail coming out of the inner bowl. These bowls have been very popular here in the Pacific Northwest and are definitely motivated by my time watching the whales here on Camano Island. The bowl is hand thrown on a potters wheel and put through a bisque firing. I then hand paint and finally finish with a cone 10 firing. These pieces are great conversation pieces as a candy bowl or decoratively throughout the house.
Made with love, in Camano Island Washington, using the pottery wheel.
Measures approx: 3”Tall at the top of the whale tail and a little over 4” wide.
I do my best to reflect my ceramics in the pictures as real as possible, but some color variations and sizes should be taken into account.
